At Dragon DI we have brought together some of the leading people from the cutting edge of the film industry’s digital revolution. There are very few people who have the knowledge and experience to bridge the gap between pixel and grain, while here at Dragon DI it is fundamental to our existence.

We understand that bridging that gap represents the very essence of digital intermediate. But we also believe in the need to bridge the gap between technology and art. Understanding the science of colour is not enough; our colourists must also apply a creative understanding to that science, and wield the grading tools like an artist.

Similarly, it is not enough for our restoration artists to simply paint out imperfections. We believe that restoration is itself an art, and that the difference between a painter and an artist is the ability to remove what shouldn’t be there without compromising what should.
