Y PRIS wins Best Drama Series at Celtic Media Festival

Dragon DI would like to congratulate Fiction Factory and S4C on winning the coveted Best Drama Series Award with Y PRIS at this year's 30th Annual Celtic Media Festival.

Set against the seascape and coastal communities of South West Wales, this 10 part drama series by new Writer Tim Price tells the story of the rise and fall of the local mafia and reveals the price that must be paid when you're a member of the "cockle gatherers clan". Black humour, violence, youthful exuberance and tragedy combine to deliver an exciting, compelling, funny and moving drama performed by an excellent young cast against a stunning backdrop.

Y Pris was shot at HD and Dragon DI was asked to maintain a complete HD workflow from ingest to delivery. Not only did Dragon DI achieve a cost-effective HD solution, but by treating the whole series to a feature film workflow, we were able to give the prize-winning series its highly individual look.

The second series of Y Pris airs on S4C on 2nd April 2009.
